Ray J On Kim Kardashian Sex Tape: 'I Don't Applaud Myself'

Let's get one thing clear: Ray J does not regret making his infamous sex tape with Kim Kardashian. However, he takes no pleasure in what its legend has become.

"I personally don't think that's a road anybody should go down. I don't applaud myself for anything in that world," he said. "I've grown from it and I've learned from it. But, at the same time, I don't applaud myself for it."

Ray J stopped by HuffPost Live on Monday to chat about the upcoming season of "Love & Hip Hop Hollywood," and he told host Marc Lamont Hill that he believes the sex tape played no part in Kardashian's international celebrity.

"Nope. God did that. I just leave it alone. God made all the success happen," he said. "When people say, 'You put this person on,' listen: God did that."

"Love & Hip Hop Hollywood" premieres Monday night on VH1.
