Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez were like "sisters" at one point, but after rumors swirled about Swift's disapproval of Gomez's on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bieber, it appeared the two had a falling out. Gomez's Instagram purge only fueled the fire, when she unfollowed everyone on the social media app, including Swift.
But now, it appears that the duo is back to being BFFs, as the "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer wished a Happy Birthday to Gomez via Instagram July 22: "Usually this S represents 'Swift' but today I'm wearing it because SELENA IS 22!!!!," Swift captioned the below photo:
We're really glad to see they're friends again, but we can't help but feel this was a missed opportunity for Swift to serenade Gomez with this all too appropriate song:
Oh well. Happy birthday, Selena!
