One of the world's most beautiful women doesn't care that she's pretty or that she's not married.

Yes, Charlize Theron is for real. In an interview with Esquire UK, the "A Million Ways To Die In The West" actress offers a refreshing reminder that one doesn't need to wait to be married in order to feel happy and fulfilled:

I'm sure there's a lot of aspects to my life that a lot of people wouldn't want ... Just personal choice things. Like the fact that I'm single at 38. That's not necessarily what a lot of women want ... But I'm just saying, a life is good if it's the life that you want.

One might think that happiness would just fall into the lap of the Academy Award-winning actress -- but Theron assured Esquire UK that happiness takes just as much effort for her as anyone else. "I am living my life in a way that if tomorrow it ended -- and I hope not because I have a kid -- but if it did, this was the life that I really wanted to live. But I work at that, you know?" she said.

Despite her frequent appearance on most beautiful women lists, the actress doesn't put much stock in prettiness. She told Esquire UK's Alex Bilmes: "Being a young girl and not putting your worth into your beauty. That was not something that I was raised with. So when I left home and everybody was like, ‘Oh, you’re pretty,’ I was like, I don’t even know what that concept means.”

Ignoring beauty as a metric for self-worth and ditching the idea that marriage = happiness? This lady is on to something.
