Train Hits Truck Stuck On Tracks Near Chowchilla, Calif. (VIDEO)

WATCH: Train Full Of Combat Vehicles vs. Truck Full Of Trail Mix

A train hauling U.S. military equipment slammed into a tractor-trailer stuck on the tracks outside Chowchilla, Calif., on Sunday in a scene caught on video from several angles.

The video shows the driver of the truck getting out and running alongside the tracks, apparently trying to warn the train operator, but it was much too late.

The train slams into the semi, and as the tractor rolls off into the street, the trailer is pulverized, its load of trail mix thrown everywhere.

"We're going to die!" Robert Thissen, who was filming the nearly mile-long train, cried out as the collision occurred.

"Is the truck going to fly into traffic in front of us? Is the train going to derail? Is there going to be an explosion?" Thissen told KFSN. "The truck was right in front of us, maybe another five or 10 seconds we would have been in this truck lane, we would have been destroyed, we would have been killed in this."

The Union Pacific train was carrying military equipment, including Stryker armored personnel carriers, from Ft. Lewis, Wash., to Fort Irwin, Calif., the station reports.

Remarkably, no one was injured. The train wasn't damaged and left the scene of the crash after a few hours, according to KFSN. There's no word on the fate of the trail mix, which appears to be the Great Value brand sold at Walmart.
