7-Year-Old Girl Reunites With Lost 'Lambie' Thanks To Kind-Hearted Hotel Employee

After 7-year-old Reagan Porter left the Texas hotel she was vacationing at with her family, she realized she was missing one crucial piece of precious cargo: her stuffed animal "Lambie."

The Porters called the La Torretta Lake Resort to see if the doll had been recovered, but hotel employees came up empty-handed. It wasn't until a month later that hotel employee Christina Cooper spotted the lost stuffed animal and Reagan's green blanket in the housekeeping bin.

Cooper immediately called Reagan's father, who was overjoyed that his daughter's favorite stuffed animal had been found. He asked if she could mail "Lambie," but Cooper wanted to do a little something extra for the 7-year-old.

"I had asked the dad if I could address the box to his daughter because you know how kids get when they receive things in the mail," Cooper told ABC News. "And I also asked if I could attach a note to the lamb doll that would seem like he was talking to her."

So Cooper mailed the lost stuffed animal to Reagan with a note -- from Lambie -- that said he missed her.

While the hotel employee really went above and beyond to return the lost lamb, it's not the first time a missing stuffed animal has been reunited with its owner thanks to the kindness of strangers. Last year, Facebook and Twitter users worked together to find the young girl who had left her stuffed lion on a train car in London.
