Twins Player Hits Homer While His Mom Is Being Interviewed On Her Birthday (VIDEO)

MLB Player Hits Homer While Mom Is Being Interviewed On TV

Minnesota Twins designated hitter Chris Colabello hit a perfectly-timed home run on Wednesday night against the Tampa Bay Rays. With Colabello's mom, Silvana, celebrating her birthday at Tropicana Park, FOX Sports North reporter Marney Gellner started interviewing her as the 30-year-old went up to bat in the fourth inning.

Just before the second pitch, Gellner said "let's hope Chris gives her a nice present here at his at-bat." That's when Colabello crushed a two-run homer over the center field wall. The overjoyed Silvana screamed "he did" as she reacted on live television.

To make her birthday even better, Colabello hit a two-RBI single in the 12th inning to help Minnesota win 6-4.
