Hate can't tear Demi Lovato down.
The "Made in the USA" singer took to Twitter on Tuesday, April 15, to share some advice with her 21.8 million followers minutes after a Twitter user called her "fatty." She encouraged her fans to choose kindness over cruelty and to spread a message of love.
Shortly after posting the uplifting words, Lovato retweeted one particular Lovatic who chose to combat hate with love. Instead of attacking the user who called Lovato "fatty," the singer's fan responded with a simple message: "you are beautiful."
The former Disney star, who sought treatment for personal struggles in 2010, is all about promoting self-worth. While performing as part of the iHeartRadio Live series in Burbank, Calif., on Monday, April 14, she shared a heartfelt message with the crowd.
"No matter what you go through, whether it is a mental illness, being bullied at school, or cutting, having a substance abuse issue, or an eating disorder, don't be afraid to ask for help. That's what I did," she told the audience, per Yahoo! Music. "I want you all to know that you saved your own life, and you should be very proud of yourself. You are worthy of life. You have so much ahead of you. So just work it out. This goes out to all of my warriors."
