Colorado Unemployment Rate Rises To 7.7% In February

According to Data released by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment Friday, Colorado's unemployment rate rose in February To 7.7%. January's unemployment rate was 7.4%.

The state's unemployment numbers are also higher than in February of 2009, when the rate was 7.3%. Donald Mares, director of the Department of Labor and Employment said the unemployment rate will likely continue to fluctuate as the country recovers from the recession.

Colorado's unemployment rate remains lower than the national average of 9.7%.
