Scarlett Johansson hasn't been too open about her divorce from Ryan Reynolds back in 2011.
But in the new issue of C Magazine, the 29-year-old actress takes stock of what she learned in the time following her split from the actor four years ago.
[My divorce from Ryan was] a very lonely thing. It's like the loneliest thing you'll ever do, in some ways," she told the magazine. “I've had a fair amount of time to process the experience and go forward. I continue to get to know myself better as I get older, and that helps me in my relationships."
Johansson and Reynolds were married from 2008 to 2011. Reynolds, 37, has since married former "Gossip Girl" star Blake Lively, while Johansson is currently engaged and expecting a baby with fiancé Romain Dauriac.
In another new interview with Glamour magazine, Johansson admits she's far more prepared for marriage this time around.
“I feel I know now more of what I need in a relationship, what I want in a relationship," she says in the May issue of the magazine. "And I know I have more tools to communicate, not just with my partner, but with myself. That’s not necessarily any reflection of who I was married to or what was happening in my marriage, but really where I was in my life.”
