Chiwetel Ejiofor May Play The Villain In Next James Bond Movie

It looks like it may be Daniel Craig vs. Chiwetel Ejiofor in the 24th James Bond film.

The Oscar-nominated "12 Years a Slave" actor is being eyed to play the villain in the forthcoming Bond installment, TheWrap reports. No official offers have been made, but sources reportedly say the actor is the first choice of director Sam Mendes ("American Beauty," "Revolutionary Road"), who also helmed "Skyfall."

Plot details surrounding the still-untitled Bond entry are unknown. Joining Craig and, potentially, Ejiofor are Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes and Naomie Harris, who will reprise their roles as Q, M and Eve Moneypenny, respectively. John Logan ("Gladiator," "Hugo") will write the script.

Bond 24 is set to enter production from November to April 2015, with the movie slated for a November 2015 release.

Ejiofor is currently filming the sci-fi nuclear war film "Z for Zachariah" alongside Margot Robbie and Chris Pine. He's also signed on for the crime drama "Triple Nine," opposite Casey Affleck, Aaron Paul and Kate Winslet.
