Man Takes The Whole Marriage Proposal Thing To New Heights

Popping the question at a fancy restaurant, during a romantic picnic under the stars, or in some sort of flash mob are all acceptable means of proposing -- for some people.

But that wouldn't cut it for adrenaline junkie Luke Harding -- a 26-year-old man from Wales -- who decided to make his girlfriend jump out of plane in Perth, Australia and skydive 15,000 feet to the ground before asking for her hand in marriage, reports local Welsh paper The Milford Mercury.

Luckily, the company who helped Luke plan his daredevil proposal -- Southern Skydivers -- captured the whole thing on video (above). Fast froward to 9:50 to see the actual proposal go down.

Luke's girlfriend, Rachel Hughes, says the high octane proposal took her by surprise.

"I had absolutely no idea he was planning this," the 29-year-old told the Daily Mail.

"I mean just an hour earlier Luke dropped the bombshell that we were going to do a skydive and then I'm seeing a 'will you marry me' banner. I just felt like I was dreaming and then reality kicked in and with it my emotions."

The couple has spent the last two years in New Zealand and Australia. They told the Daily Mail that they plan to return to the UK for a summer wedding in 2015.
