I recently had the pleasure of planning the games for my cousin's co-ed baby shower. Since the parents-to-be booked a reception hall for the party (with a 4-hour slot) I needed to bring my A-game(s). After researching, I discovered awesome baby shower games that could be played at a shower of any size, co-ed or not. Here are 10 fun games that will help other ring-leaders run the show.
1. The Clothesline Game
Materials:
-Clothesline
-Clothespins
-Babydoll for each player
-Tape
-Two laundry baskets, one for each team
-Lots of onesies/bibs/baby clothes
-Everyone's personal cell phone
How to play:
A personal favorite of mine, this game is for people who have a competitive edge. Players line up on either side of the clothesline that can be taped or tied to walls or pillars. Each player holds a cell phone in one hand and a baby doll in the other. When the game begins, each team must pin up as many of the baby clothes from their team basket as they can while holding the baby doll and cell phone at the same time. Whoever pins up their entire basket of clothes first, wins!

-Ping Pong balls
-Balloons
-Glass jars
How to play:
Pregnant women tend to pee a lot. This game pokes fun at the mommy-to-be, but it's a great way to get people laughing and interacting. Start by splitting guests into two teams and give everyone a blown up balloon to put under their shirts and a ping pong ball to put between their thighs. When the game starts, each team must race to drop their pong balls from between their legs into the jar -- relay style -- and race back with the balloon still intact to tag the next player to go. The team with the most balls in their perspective jars, wins.

-Construction Paper Speech Bubbles
-Sharpie
How to play:
Here's a fun way to find out about the parents-to-be: Cut out speech bubbles and put them on the wall or a poster board. Have the future parents tell you 5-10 things about their childhoods before the guests arrive. Without revealing who said what, write the facts in the speech bubbles and have the guests try to guess if the quotes apply to mom or dad.
4. The Baby Food Tasting Game
Materials:
-Jars of baby food
-Sample spoons
-Pieces of paper
-Answer key
-Sharpie
How to play:
This game may sound gross, but it's fun to see how well family and friends know their baby food flavors. First, buy an assortment of baby food and include well-known flavors such as banana, peach, etc. While prepping, put the baby food jars on a common table in the shower space and number them with a sharpie (make sure to peel off the labels and write down which numbers correspond to each jar as your answer key!) Have guests take turns coming up to the table and give them spoons to taste test the jars. Then have them write down the number on the jar and what flavor they think that jar is. After everyone writes down their answers, call out the numbers with the correct flavors. The person who guessed the most flavors correctly, wins.
Remix: Set up a panel of 5 guests to be blindfolded. Have each take turns getting spoon-fed each flavor and whoever gets the most right, wins.
Materials:
-Balloons
-Regular or cloth diapers
-Safety pins
-Bandanna for blindfold
How to play:
This game will show who can diaper a baby with their eyes closed. Blindfold each player and then place a blown up balloon, a diaper and pins in front of them. On the count of three, have the players diaper the balloon to the best of their ability and without popping the balloon with the pins. If getting messy is an option, add baby powder or diaper rash cream to the mix.

How to play:
Opening gifts sometimes takes a while for the mommy-to-be to do. There's lots of items and the guests want to see each one. So to spice things up, set a kitchen timer for anywhere under 15 minutes. Whoever bought the gift that the mommy has in her hands when the timer goes off, wins!

-Markers
-Cardboard
-Tape
-Construction Paper
-Googley Eyes
How to play:
This game may be best for kid-less showers. Draw or print out the basic anatomy of the vagina (vulva), then cut out construction paper in the shape of "sperm." Feel free to add googly eyes for laughs. Have each guest take turns getting blindfolded and then have them attempt to pin their sperm (with tape) onto the eggs in the middle of the vulva.
8. The Belly Measuring Game
Materials:
-Paper measuring tape
-Scissors
How to play:
Have someone go to each guest with the measuring tape and ask them to unravel how much they think will fit around the mommy-to-be's belly perfectly. When they do, cut their guessed piece and go to the next person. When everyone guesses, the host measures the belly of the mom and then calls out the inches. Whoever is closest, wins! At another cousin of mine's baby shower, people ran up to the belly to size her up, which is fine, but no one should cheat by measuring! Eye-balling only.
9. The Don't Say "Baby" Game
Materials:
-Tiny clothespins
How to play:
As each guest arrives, hand them a tiny clothespin (or mini baby figurine if you can find some). Explain -- or print out directions on note cards -- that from now on, they cannot say baby during the shower. If they do, they must hand their clothespin to the person next to them or the person who tricked them into saying the b-word. The goal: Have the most clothespins at the end of the party.
10. The M&M Game
Materials:
-Baby bottle
-Colored M&Ms
-Paper
-Cup
How to play:
This one is simple -- all you'll need is a pack of M&M candy and a baby bottle. Fill the bottle with candies and have the guests try to guess how many are in there. Then have them stick their answers into a cup. At the end of the party, count of the M&Ms and call out the person who guessed correctly!
