Country star Jason Aldean is dating the woman he was caught kissing while still married to his estranged wife.
Aldean is romancing Brittany Kerr, a former contestant on Season 11 of "American Idol" and Charlotte Bobcats dancer, TMZ first reported. She was spotted backstage at his concert on Friday, March 14, at the Amphitheater at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Ala.
A rep for Aldean, 37, confirmed the relationship to E! News. Us Weekly also confirmed the romance.
Aldean was photographed kissing Kerr at a Los Angeles bar in 2012 while he was still married to his wife of 12 years and high school sweetheart, Jessica Ussery. He later publicly apologized for his transgressions and said he was working through it with his family.
After filing for divorce last April, the singer opened up to "Good Morning America" host Robin Roberts about the fling during a November interview.
"It's one of those things where, you know, you go out and you're just hanging out," he said. "You know, obviously there were things going on in my marriage at the time where it just wasn't really happy. You go out and you kind of let your guard down a little bit and things happen, and unfortunately ... it's tough."
