Katy Perry's relationship with Miley Cyrus sure is hot and then cold. Perry, who has been on good terms with Cyrus in the past, spoke this week about her recent kiss with the 21-year-old singer. The two locked lips at a Los Angeles stop on Cyrus' Bangerz Tour during her performance of the single "Adore You."
"I just walked up to her to give her like a friendly girly kiss, you know, as girls do," Perry told an Australian morning show. "Then she like tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away."
As to why she pulled away, Perry continued, "God knows where that tongue has been. We don't know! That tongue is so infamous!"
Cyrus did not take Perry's words lightly, responding to her comments on Twitter on Thursday afternoon. Cyrus included a shot of Perry's quote and seemingly referenced her on-again, off-again boyfriend John Mayer, who had previously dated Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift and Jessica Simpson, among others.
We have a feeling Miley can wait to see Katy again.
UPDATE:
Cyrus wrote to Perry again after her initial tweet, including a drawing of the duo kissing and joking with the singer that she loved the interaction.
Perry responded in kind, taking the jab in stride and telling Cyrus she was going to get "the biggest spanking."
