Richie Incognito is receiving psychiatric treatment at a facility in Arizona, according to multiple reports. The 30-year-old NFL offensive lineman has been at the center of the Miami Dolphins bullying scandal and missed the final eight games of the 2013 regular season due to suspension.
Jeff Darlington of NFL.com reported on Friday that Incognito had checked into a treatment facility in Arizona. Citing unnamed sources, Darlington reported that the NFL and NFL Players Association had previously reached out to Incognito to help him deal with mental health issues.

Citing unnamed sources, TMZ also reported that Incognito checked into a psychiatric care unit on Thursday. TMZ subsequently reported that Incognito initially sought treatment but was then held on an involuntary psychiatric hold.
Earlier on Thursday, Incognito told police that he had damaged his own car with a baseball bat. The soon-to-be free agent told FOX 10 in Phoenix that the incident "was just me venting, that was self expression, that’s a piece of art."
Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reported that Incognito's Dolphins teammates are concerned and have not been in contact with him in wake of the NFL-ordered report released by Ted Wells. The report claimed that Incognito and two other teammates "engaged in a pattern of harassment" directed at Jonathan Martin, another offensive lineman and a member of the training staff.
