Turkeys are idiots. There, we said it.
But we have to hand it to them: they've tricked us into thinking for an embarrassingly long time that they can't fly. Coordination, however, is something they might want to work on.
In a video posted to YouTube on Thursday, turkeys take off into the air and fly over a Brandeis University dorm in Waltham, Mass.
"Why are these turkeys flying?" asks the man behind the camera. A fair question!
The situation quickly becomes troublesome when a turkey crashes through a window.
"We need to help that turkey!" says our brave hero.
Though he doesn't quite know how, he asks all the important questions.
"Are you ok?" he asks, probably to the woman below. But we like to think he was asking the turkey.
Thankfully the turkey was ok, according to Reddit user SadFaceCabbageMan, who took a close-up shot.
"Yeah actually, the person who lives in that room pulled up their shade and the turkey started flipping a sh*t. I guess in the process, it was able to unhinge itself because shortly after freedom, it sprinted fast as sh*t away. It didn't appear [to have] hurt itself too badly."
