If you were a teen girl in the late '80s and early '90s, you probably had a Caboodles. We practically filled the brightly-colored makeup cases with our entire lives, which consisted of glittery nail polishes, Lip Smacker lip balms and friendship bracelets.
The vintage beauty commercial above proves that our makeup-hoarding addiction started with Caboodles. Available in cool color combinations like pink and teal or purple and red, these makeup cases were a funkier version of the ones our mothers kept on their vanity tables.
With its removable trays, locking latch and cute carrying handle, a Caboodles case was also a must-have for sleepovers. Who didn't sign their name with tiny hearts in black marker all over their case?
We're pretty sure these organizers were a part of our parents' plan to keep the house tidy. (Nice try!) However, it only made us want to spend our entire allowance on more beauty products.
