The Day for Night series traveled to Sundance to talk to some of the filmmakers and cast with films playing at the festival this year.

Today's installment includes the teams behind Love is Strange, Land Ho! and Fishing Without Nets.

Love is Strange is an adult love story by veteran indie filmmaker Ira Sachs (Keep the Lights On, Married Life), starring John Lithgow, Alfred Molina and Marisa Tomei. In the film, Lithgow and Molina marry after 38 years together. Financial circumstances force them to separate temporarily, however, and move in with family and friends. It led to one of my favorite conversations of the week.

Land Ho!, a road trip comedy co-written/directed by filmmakers Martha Stephens and Aaron Katz, follows two retirees through the nightclubs and other dangers of Iceland. While at the festival it was bought by premiere indie distributor, Sony Pictures Classics for release.

Fishing Without Nets is filmmaker Cutter Hodierne's feature length version of his 2012 Sundance Special Jury Prize short film of the same name, about Somali piracy. The film's cast and VICE's Eddy Moretti join the discussion.
