Police Hunt Motorcycle Pack That Shut Down Broadway

By Trevor Kapp

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Police are looking to charge the hell-on-wheels biker gang that shut down Broadway on Sunday.

The pack was last seen between 189th and 190th streets just before 4 p.m., police said.

They shut down traffic in both directions by doing wheelies and other stunts in front of the R.G. Ortiz Funeral Home, putting pedestrians and other drivers in harm's way, according to the NYPD.

Sunday’s episode took place just 12 blocks north of where SUV driver Alexian Lien was pummeled by a group of bikers in front of his wife and daughter in late September. Lien initially ran over one of the motorcyclists after they surrounded his car, police said.

Anyone with information about Sunday’s incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
