Sam Robson's 'It Is Well With My Soul' Hymn Performance Shows The Awesome Power Of A One-Man Choir

One-Man Choir Sings Hymn That Will Give You Chills

Sam Robson proves that you only need one person to make a choir. His beautiful performance of Horation Spafford's popular hymn, "It Is Well With My Soul," is chillingly good.

The hymn has a tragic history that comes out in Robson's rendition. After the SS Ville du Havre sank in 1873, taking with it all four of Spafford's daughters, his grieving wife sent the heart-wrenching telegram, "Saved alone..."

Spafford was inspired to write the hymn after his ship passed near to the site of the wreck that took his daughter's lives as he traveled to meet his wife.
