Queen Mathilde Teaches Us How To Shop Our Closets Like A Royal

PHOTOS: Even Queens Shop Their Own Closets

Yes, even queens, with their palaces and servants, shop their own closets.

Or at least Queen Mathilde does. The Belgian royal knows a good dress when she sees one, and she has no problem wearing it over and over again... and she'll even buy it in multiple colors. To attend a New Year's reception at the Royal Palace in Brussels yesterday, Mathilde opted to wear a magenta off-the-shoulder shift dress, the same one we spotted her wearing back in November during a trip to the Netherlands.

Like we said, the queen's also a pretty savvy shopper when she finds a silhouette that works well. Earlier this week, Mathilde wore a very similar gray version of the off-the-shoulder dress. Even better, she'd also already worn it in November -- proof that royals repeat their favorite dresses just like the rest of us.

Moral of the story: Find dresses you feel great in, stock up on multiple colors and wear them as much as you darn well please.
