Last-Second Shot In High School Basketball Game Sits On Rim As Time Expires (VIDEO)

WATCH: You'll Never Guess What Happened On Last-Second Shot

Here's something we probably won't see again for a long, long time.

On Saturday afternoon, the Grandview boys basketball team faced Central Washington Athletic Conference rival Prosser, per the Yakima Herald-Republic. The game was tied at 65 in the final seconds and came down to a last-second layup attempt by Grandview guard Bryce Carpenter. When Carpenter released his final shot as time expired, the ball simply sat on the back of the rim and completely stopped moving. The referees ruled the shot no-good and sent the game into overtime, where Grandview pulled off a 72-70 victory.

Grandview coach Glenn Braman told the Daily Sun News that he'd never seen something like that happen in a game.
