'Glee' Is Moving Entirely To New York City, Leaving McKinley High School Behind

'Glee' Is Spending The Rest Of The Season In New York

Everyone is heading to New York on "Glee." Kevin Reilly, Fox Entertainment chairman, confirmed to reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour that the remainder of this season of "Glee" will be set entirely in New York.

But what does this mean for the cast, which is currently split between Lima, Ohio and New York, with a few graduates scattered elsewhere? According to Entertainment Weekly, Reilly agreed that there would be inevitable shakeups.

"For this season, there will be a graduation, several of the cast members will move on and a few others will go to New York," Reilly said. He explained that characters who didn't go to New York would be available for special episodes, adding, "The way it’s going to dovetail next season, we’re going to see some familiar faces coming around in some capacity." As already announced, next season will be the show's last.

Reilly also made sure to assure reporters that Jane Lynch wasn't going anywhere. Currently the principal at McKinley High School, Lynch will stay a major part of the show after it transitions completely to New York. “As long as there’s a show, there’s Jane," Reilly insisted.

"Glee" returns Tuesday, February 25 at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
