A recent widower showed us how to be selfless in the face of grief with an act of kindness carried out just a week after he lost his wife.
On Wednesday, Reddit user Turboturtle08 posted a photo of a note written by a man. The caption reads, "A friend had a customer leave this to the couple next to him tonight, and pay for their meal."
"You don't know me, but my beautiful wife of 43 years died last week. Tonight I dined alone for the first time," the man, who signed his name as Lee B., wrote. "You remind me of us many years ago. Please allow me to buy your dinner.. It will put a smile on Carol's face and make me happy... for now."
An Imgur user captured the gesture perfectly, writing, "Even in his time of sadness, he does something so kind. Bless you, Lee. Carol must be so proud of you."
