Watch A Pastor Lose His Damn Mind Over 'Wonder Showzen'

Watch A Pastor Lose His Damn Mind Over This

"Wonder Showzen" was about as subversive as TV gets. Those who are sadly unacquainted with the show, it aired on MTV2 from 2005 to 2006, and at its core was a parody of children's television such as "Sesame Street." If "Sesame Street" was produced by the Devil.

Created by Vernon Chatman and John Lee (who would go onto make several shows for Adult Swim, notably "The Heart, She Holler"), "Wonder Showzen" had a cult following and counted cameos from the likes of David Cross, Zach Galifianakis and even Flavor Flav.

But Pastor Danny Castle, a North Carolina-based fire-and-brimstone preacher, was afraid that the show would attract a different sort of cult. Presumably recorded for his congregation, Castle did not hold back in his disgust for the show, ranting for 6 minutes while playing a clip of the show about how the program was corrupting young minds. (Of course, a sketch where the punchline is God committing suicide is probably not likely to count many religious minds as fans.)

Check out the clip above to hear Castle rant and rave over the "Wonder Showzen" clip.
