2014 Golden Globes: From The Style To The Stage

The biggest stars of television and film descended upon Beverly Hills, Calif. on Sunday evening (Jan. 12) for the 71st annual Golden Globe awards. Hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the awards show honored the year's best acting, directing and writing.

Among the big winners was AMC's "Breaking Bad," which took home the award for Best Drama Series.

The awards show also showcased major fashion moments from the likes of Lena Dunham, Jennifer Lawrence, and Amy Adams.

The film adaptation of "Les Miserables" led the 70th annual Golden Globes, taking home three awards. Directed by Tom Hooper, "Les Miserables" won Best Picture - Musical or Comedy, Best Actor - Musical or Comedy for Hugh Jackman and Best Supporting Actress for Anne Hathaway.

On the TV side, last year's categories were led by "Game Change" and "Homeland." "Game Change," HBO's political special about the 2008 presidential campaign, won Best Actress - Miniseries or Television Film for Julianne Moore, Best Supporting Actor for Ed Harris, and Best Miniseries or Television Film. Showtime's drama series "Homeland" took home Best Actress - Drama for Claire Danes, Best Actor - Drama for Damian Lewis, and Best Drama.

"12 Years a Slave" and "American Hustle" led this year's awards with seven nominations each. Both films were up for Best Picture, "12 Years" in the drama category and "American Hustle" in the musical or comedy category. HBO's Liberace biopic, "Behind the Candelabra," led the TV nominations with Netflix's "House of Cards," each with four nominations.
