Bill Nye Signs On for Science Smackdown at Creation Museum

Those of you looking for some entertainment next month might do well to know that Bill Nye (The Science Guy) has agreed to a debate at Kentucky's controversial Creation Museum. Better bring some popcorn.

Nye, the beloved scientist and children's show host, has always been critical of the teaching of creationism, claiming that it's harmful to children. Last year he made an online video saying as much that has managed to rack up some six million views so far. It also prompted Ken Ham, the founder of Kentucky's Creationist Museum, to make his own video in which he claimed that Nye "doesn't understand science correctly". The video has since been removed from YouTube.

Now, it looks like the online argument is ready to hop over to the real world, because the Creation Museum has announced that on February 4, it will be hosting a debate between Ham and Nye titled "Is Creation A Viable Model of Origins?"

This is going to be good. Tickets are $25, and presumably go toward the museum.
