See 'The Simpsons' Honor Marcia Wallace In 'White Christmas Blues'

You May Have Missed This Touching Tribute In 'The Simpsons' Christmas Couch Gag

"The Simpsons" honored two of their own this past weekend in their theme song couch gag.

The epic Christmas-themed opening credits entitled "White Christmas Blues" showed everything in Springfield with a layer of Christmas merriment on top. With the power plant decked out in Candy Cane stripes, Homer riding a snowmobile to Lisa's music class blasting out Christmas music, you may have missed a split-second tribute buried in the Winter wonderland.

Marcia Wallace, who voiced schoolteacher Edna Krabappel for the past 23 years passed away in October, and her character, Mrs. Krabappel was shown as an angel during the theme song. Edna was also joined by a cartoon version of "Simpsons" writer Don Payne, who also recently passed away.

"The Simpsons" already paid tribute to Marcia Wallace with another theme song tribute. In early November after Wallace's passing during the opening credits sequence where Bart writes on a chalkboard for punishment he simply wrote "We'll really miss you Mrs. K."
