Forget the paintbrushes, forget the canvas, forget the pencils and charcoal and pastels. All you need to make a mesmerizing artwork are your own two feet. Well, and a mountain of snow.
If you don't believe us, just look at Simon Beck, who walks miles through soft beds of snow, leaving behind a myriad footprints that form ephemeral mandalas. Using pillowy snowfall as his canvas, Beck crafts careful geometric patterns that leave a hypnotic trail of his every move, captured in designs that stretch up to acres of land.
Beck likens his artworks, which often take around 8 to 10 hours to complete, to crop circles, alluding to their metaphysical aura and fleeting existence. No matter how majestic these time consuming murals appear, they are always washed away with the melting of the snow. We've covered Beck's work on the Huffington Post before, but as winter rolls around we're once again reminded of just how much we love his snowy masterpieces.
