Here comes the bride? Mary-Kate Olsen has been spotted trying on engagement rings at the Neil Lane boutique in Los Angeles, and she seems serious about it. Page Six reports that she was first sighted in the shop around mid-November and has since made several follow-up visits, viewing diamond rings each time. Olsen and boyfriend Olivier Sarkozy have been dating for more than a year and although she has expressed desires to stay out of the spotlight, the two have hardly kept their relationship, or their PDA, a secret.
Olsen, a successful fashion designer and style guru, knows what she likes and has her eyes on the prize. A source tells Page Six that "she really likes cushion-cut diamonds, and all of the rings she has looked at are over 5 carats." The source also said "I don't think price was an issue," noting that Olsen had set aside several rings with price tags of $100,000 or more. Sarkozy has reportedly not accompanied Olsen to the shop yet, but she is still narrowing down her options and has not made a final selection.
Since going public with their relationship in May of 2012, Sarkozy, 44, and Olsen, 27 have seen plenty of media attention. Engagement rumors abounded earlier this year when Olsen was photographed with a ring on her left hand. Shortly after the incident, however, a source told Us Weekly that Olsen wanted to take her time with the relationship and was making her older beau hold off on a proposal.
Sarkozy was previously married to Charlotte Bernard, who has called his present relationship with Olsen "grotesque" and "not right" due to their difference in age.
