There was a surprise family reunion on the penultimate episode of "Witches of East End." Desperate to help Freya regain her powers after the shapeshifter Penelope stole them, Wendy called in the last person anyone else in the family expected to see, the girls' father Victor.
Freya and Ingrid had never met their father, though everyone kept interrupting him before he could begin to explain why -- there's more to it than him simply abandoning his children. Nevertheless, Freya was willing to try to understand him, and more importantly for now, she was willing to accept his help.
Unfortunately, Joanna backed out of the magical blood transfusion spell for fear that it would hurt Freya too much. This didn't sit too well with Freya, but that was nothing to the venom that Ingrid was spewing toward Victor. Nevertheless, the whole family may have to come together before Freya's big day, though.
Hollywood Life's Andy swift reminds us, "Freya’s future monster-in-law is going to turn her wedding into a funeral, killing her son’s bride and returning ‘home’ to be with Archibald. I assume Penelope was referring to Asgard when she said she was going ‘home,’ but I guess there’s always a chance she has another destination in mind. This is 'Witches of East End,' after all.”
