Eminem and Kim Scott Mathers split back in 2006 and, despite recent reports, haven't rekindled their romance.
Earlier this week, RadarOnline.com spoke with Kim's mother, Kathy Sluck, who said she thinks Eminem and Kim might get back together soon because they see each other "all the time" and "get on better than ever." The 41-year-old is also apparently building his ex a mansion just five minutes from his own house in a suburb of Detroit.
However, the rapper's rep denies any new relationship has developed between the exes.
"Marshall and Kim continue to maintain a great friendship and share in the parenting of their family," his rep, Dennis Dennehy, told E! News.
Still, it's not as if a reconciliation is completely impossible. The two, who met as teenagers, have quite the history of ups and downs. They got married twice and divorced twice, and continue to raise their 17-year-old daughter, Hailie, together. They are also raising Kim's niece, Alaina, and her biological daughter from a previous relationship, Whitney.
"They really have a great relationship now as parents," a source told Us Weekly. "They aren't back together yet -- per se -- but anything could happen and they are together all the time for the sake of the kids."
Whitney's grandmother, Marie Hartter, had a similar notion. However, she does see them as a dangerous combination.
“[H]ow do you marry someone and then divorce them four months later?" she told Radar. "I think leading up to it, I think they both knew it might be a mistake, but I’m guessing. I think at some point they could get back together, anything is possible when you’ve been in love with someone for 25 years.”
