ABBA Reunion Possible For 40th Eurovision Anniversary

ABBA Reunion Coming Soon?

Mamma mia, here they go again. According to singer Agnetha Faltskog, ABBA is considering a reunion in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Swedish pop quartet's victory in the Eurovision Song Contest.

While the 63-year-old Falskog told German weekly Welt am Sonntag that there "seem to be plans to do something to mark this anniversary in some way," she couldn't confirm any details.

Forming in 1972, it was ABBA's performance of the group's first number one single hit, "Waterloo," on Eurovision that shotgunned them to fame. The glam-clad ensemble continued to top charts worldwide for the next decade with singles like "Mamma Mia," "Dancing Queen," "Take a Chance On Me."

While the group never formally announced a break up, their last performance took place on Dec. 11, 1982, on the British program "The Late, Late Breakfast Show." Pursuing solo careers and writing musicals, and a quick TV appearance in 1986, it wasn't until the Swedish premiere of the movie "Mamma Mia!" in 2008 that they were reunited.

An interactive museum dedicated to the pop-group opened in Stockholm in May 2013.
