Mia McCarthy Accused Of Raping And Attempted Murder Of Girlfriend During 'Rough Sex'

A self-proclaimed "sadomasochist" has been arrested for rape and the attempted murder of her girlfriend of nine months.

Mia McCarthy, 23, was arrested Oct. 25 in Lake Worth, Fla., after deputies were called to the home she shared with her girlfriend, 52.

The victim reported being punched, scratched, bitten and choked by the suspect, the New York Daily News reported.

The victim also told officers that McCarthy had raped her with a sex toy in July as well.

McCarthy told officers that she is a "sadomasochist" who enjoyed having rough sex with the victim. She also said that they had no safe words, but "no means yes" during their encounters, according to an affidavit published by The Smoking Gun

The suspect allegedly told the victim, “Breathe or I’ll kill you,” and the victim told police she lived in constant fear that McCarthy would kill her, the Palm Beach Post reported.

McCarthy was charged with battery, domestic battery and strangulation, attempted murder and sexual assault.

She remains in the Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of $55,000 bail.
