Ray Suarez Joins Al Jazeera America To Host 'Inside Story'

Former PBS journalist Ray Suarez will join Al Jazeera as the new host of "Inside Story," Suarez announced in a tweet on Monday.

Earlier in October, Suarez announced that he was leaving PBS after 14 years on the network's flagship "Newshour." He told told Fox News Latino that he did not see "much of a future" with the network, although he did claim that his departure was not bitter and that he left "on good terms."

Suarez addressed this in a tweet as well, but did not mention the prospect of AJA.

But it appears that "among other things" includes hosting his own show, which makes sense, after Suarez also told Fox News Latino that he still has “one more high-demand, high-stress job in me." Perhaps this new endeavor will be just that.

"This is an exciting time to be joining Al Jazeera America and a great opportunity for me personally," Suarez said in a press release from Al Jazeera America. "This is exactly what I wanted to do: host a program that provides viewers with a close look at the day's news and the issues they care about the most without the partisan rancor that you often see and hear elsewhere on television."
