Julius Chick: Morena Baccarin Welcomes Baby Boy

'Homeland' Star Welcomes Baby Boy

Morena Baccarin is officially a mom!

The "Homeland" star welcomed her first child, son Julius Chick, with her husband Austin Chick, People reports. Julius was born on Tuesday (Oct. 22) in Glendale, Calif., and weighed in at just under eight pounds.

“Julius and his mother are happy and healthy,” her rep says.

Baccarin and Chick tied the knot in 2011 and announced their pregnancy in May. The 34-year-old actress admitted that it was hard hiding her baby bump while filming "Homeland" Season 3, but added that Claire Danes' pregnancy prepared the crew for the task.

"I was a little freaked out about telling the show," Baccarin told Us Weekly in June. "[I had] a sense of responsibility to my job and I suddenly felt like, 'Am I going to be disappointing everybody that I'm knocked up?' But life goes on. Everybody was so kind to me. Claire's laid down the groundwork, and they're really good at hiding pregnancies now."

Danes, also 34, welcomed son Cyrus in Dec. 2012.
