On Aug. 14, former Illinois Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. and his wife, former Chicago Ald. Sandi Jackson, were sentenced to 30 months and 12 months in prison, respectively, for charges related to their spending of $750,000 in campaign contributions on personal expenses. While among the highest profile of Illinois' many convicted elected officials, the Jacksons' sentences are nowhere near the top of the list.
