John McCain Considering Running For Reelection In 2016

McCain Considering Big 2016 Move

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) is considering running for reelection in 2016.

"I'm seriously thinking about maybe giving another opportunity for you to vote for or against me in a few years from now," McCain said during an interview on KFYI-AM in Phoenix. "I'm seriously giving that a lot of thought."

McCain will be 80 years old in 2016, when his current term -- his fifth in the Senate -- ends.

McCain has been more outspoken against others in the GOP in light of the recent government shutdown. He blamed the tea party for the shutdown, criticizing Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) for his efforts aimed at defunding President Barack Obama's health care law as part of any budget agreement.
