'America's Next Top Model' Contestant Too Sick For The Elimination Ceremony

'America's Next Top Model': Contestant Too Sick For Elimination

Eliminated contestant Alexandra Agro had earned her way back into the competition on "America's Next Top Model," but she wasn't doing much better her second time around. The judges called her out for her lackluster performance in her first photoshoot back.

While hearing the critiques, something else happened, too. Alexandra revealed that she suffers from a medical condition which caused her to get very dizzy moments before the elimination. "I feel so freaking sick. This has nothing to do with panel," she insisted. "Like, everything’s like blurry. I’m just, like, so dizzy.”

Alexandra said that the last time she had an episode like that, she wound up in the hospital for a week and a half. This time, she went backstage and had to lay down. So she wasn't there for the elimination, meaning the executive producer had to give her the news that it was the end of her time in the competition -- again.

Update: Agro later tweeted more specifics about her medical condition and what happened on the show.

POTS is short for Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, in which standing can lead to an excessively reduced volume of blood returning to the heart and increased heart-rate, resulting in lightheadedness or fainting. Given the severity of Agro's condition, her elimination may have been a blessing in disguise.

The competition continues on America's Next Top Model," without Alexandra, every Friday at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
