Elephant Calf Practices Standing At Albuquerque BioPark Zoo (VIDEO)

WATCH: Newborn Elephant Practices Standing!

Asian elephant calves can weigh about 200 pounds at birth, so imagine the effort it takes to get on their feet once they've entered the world.

The yet-to-be-named calf arrived Oct. 2 at New Mexico's Albuquerque BioPark Zoo, according to a YouTube description. Watch above as this precious elephant, less than 2 hours old, practices standing. Proud mama Rozie can be seen pacing and shuffling dirt, and if you listen carefully, you can hear sister Daizy and grandmother Alice blowing their trunks.

Baby elephants can stand within minutes of birth and walk within an hour or two, according to SeaWorld.org.

Keep at it, kid!
