Dwyane Wade On His Unusual Obsession And Pre-Game Carbo-Loading

Dwyane Wade's Unusual Obsession

As told to Arianna Davis

Before a game I always...
eat two big bowls of pasta. I stay away from carbs otherwise, but pasta gives me fuel for those four quarters. I throw in some protein like chicken and a ton of marinara.

The last time I laughed really hard was...
while filming one of those "Harlem Shake" videos with the team in our locker room. When we were on the road, I got so sucked in watching them on YouTube that I told the guys we should make our own. Our dance moves cracked me up. I had on a huge teddy bear head. And gold chains.

I've become obsessed with...
crazy, colorful socks. I like to put a spin on my outfits, and socks make it easy. The last pair I wore had funky African designs. They were inspired by my favorite movie, "Coming to America." I will never get tired of Eddie Murphy in those outlandish outfits.

An item I recently crossed off my bucket list was...
traveling to London and Switzerland last summer with my lady [actress Gabrielle Union] and sons [Zaire, 11, and Zion, 6]. I'd always wanted to take my boys on an overseas trip, somewhere they'd never forget. You should have seen the looks on their faces when they saw the Swiss Alps from a helicopter. Not sure where the next stop is, but there's always Disney World.
