Mike Lee 'Would Love To Know' Who Fox News' Anti-Ted Cruz Sources Are

Tea Party Favorite Presses Fox News Over Ted Cruz Controversy

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) raised alarm Monday night about a Fox News claim that Republicans were supplying research against Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).

In an interview with Fox News' "On The Record with Greta Van Susteren," Lee voiced reservations about the report, calling it both "surprising" and "disturbing."

"I would be very curious," Lee said, referring to "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace's sources. "I would love to know who those names are."

During Sunday's broadcast, Wallace made the comments about opposition toward Cruz. He called it "one of the strangest weeks" he's ever seen in Washington.

"As soon as we listed Ted Cruz as our featured guest this week, I got unsolicited research and questions, not from Democrats, but from top Republicans to hammer Cruz," Wallace said.

Lee's words paralleled those of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R), who pressed Fox News on Twitter Sunday to release the names of its sources.
