Kate Moss' New Cover Might Be Her Edgiest Yet (And She's Not Even Naked)

Kate Moss' New Cover Might Be Her Edgiest Yet (And She's Not Even Naked)

Just when you thought you'd seen every possible Kate Moss cover, the model goes and surprises you.

Kate's latest cover for Document magazine is a photograph by Mario Testino. Normal enough, right? Except the photo, for Issue 3 of the fashion and culture magazine, has been painted over by artist Paul McCarthy, known for his controversial artwork and sculptures.

"It's a new idea of beauty, as seen through the eyes of Paul McCarthy," James Valeri and Nick Vogelson, Document's editorial director, told us. It's certainly an unconventional one: Drawn on Kate's face is another body seemingly emerging from her mouth, like some supermodel version of Goya's "Saturn Devouring His Son."

And are those Minnie Mouse ears on her head? Beats by Dre headphones? Either way, we've never seen anyone with the audacity to cover Kate's precious face. This cover is one for the books.

The third issue of Document will be launching on Wednesday in Paris at Colette and hitting New York and DocumentJournal.com in early October.
