'The Blacklist' Promo: Can You Trust Red Reddington, One Of The World's Most Wanted Criminals? (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)

Can You Trust The World's Most Wanted Criminal?

If one of the world's most wanted criminals strolled into the FBI and surrendered, offering valuable intel on terrorist threats and deadly assassins with (seemingly) no strings attached, would you trust him? Such is the dilemma facing rookie FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) when Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader) gives himself up in the opening minutes of NBC's "The Blacklist" and refuses to communicate with anyone but her, kickstarting a chain of events that she never could've predicted.

HuffPost TV has an exclusive first look at the new promo for "The Blacklist," which you can check out above. When we caught up with Spader last month, he advised viewers not to believe anything his calculating character says.

"He's thoughtful and careful in what he says and how he says it and to who he says it. I think with him, you have to look very carefully between the lines. And sometimes around on the other side of them," he laughed. "Sometimes good people do terribly bad things. And sometimes bad people do terribly good things. And he's both of those. He's both of those at different times."

"The Blacklist" premieres Monday, Sept. 23 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
