'40 Days Of Dating' Movie Lands 'Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist' Writer

'40 Days Of Dating' Becomes A Movie

Movie-ready blog 40 Days Of Dating has locked up its movie deal. As first reported by Deadline.com, Warner Bros. has acquired the film rights to 40 Days Of Dating, a viral sensation that followed two platonic friends through 40 days of dating.

Per Deadline.com, Michael Sucsy ("The Vow") is attached to direct the film, while Lorene Scafaria ("Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist") will write the script. No word yet on when production would start, but it should be noted that Sucsy has his name on a lot of current projects, including "Dare Me" with Natalie Portman and a musical about The Beach Boys.

"At the moment, we're listening to people's ideas for film and TV," Jessica Walsh, the story's female protagonist, told ABC News earlier this month about the prospect of turning the blog into something larger. "The biggest thing is to preserve the integrity of what we created. It was a very honest, raw and emotional thing. So we're not just making any Hollywood movie."

More on the 40 Days Of Dating movie can be found at Deadline.com. Head to the 40 Days Of Dating blog to find out if Walsh and her friend/co-conspirator Timothy Goodman wound up together on day 41.
