Stanley Cup In Millennium Park: Lord Stanley Winding Up Months-Long Tour Of City

Stanley Cup Coming To Millennium Park Wednesday

With Blackhawks fans' opportunities to catch a glimpse of Lord Stanley in Chicago becoming fewer and fewer, the city and the team will host a public viewing of the trophy on Wednesday at Millennium Park.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the Stanley Cup will be on display on the park's Pritzker Pavilion stage from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Those hoping for one last photo opportunity with the Cup may begin to line up on the pavilion's east side -- with their own cameras on hand -- beginning at 8 a.m.

The Cup is set to return to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto by the month's end, ahead of the team's Oct. 1 home opener against the Washington Capitals at the United Center.

The Cup has been all around town in recent months, including a cameo appearance on stage during Fall Out Boy's headlining set at Riot Fest this past weekend.

Meanwhile, while the new hockey season looms large, get a load of Blackhawks right winger Patrick Kane's mad stick-handling skills on display in this recent ad for Bauer:
