Williams' character is a cabaret performer at a seedy Berlin nightclub who becomes involved with an American writer. Emma Stone was originally slated for the role first made iconic by Liza Minnelli, but pulled out of the show in May. After that, Anne Hathaway was rumored to have nabbed the part. But now, theater executives confirmed that Williams -- the three-time Oscar nominee, not Beyonce's BFF -- will perform alongside Alan Cumming, who will reprise his role as M.C., for which he earned a Tony in 1998.

Theater buffs can expect to see the duo take the stage in early 2014.
