Check Out NASA's Huge Flying Lab As It Takes Guests On Cloud Study Flight (VIDEO)

WATCH: Agency's Biggest Flying Lab Takes Off

When you gaze at a bank of beautiful fluffy clouds, you probably aren't thinking how they can help us understand environmental changes. But folks at NASA certainly are.

Just watch the video above, in which the journalistic team known as Climate Desk hitches a ride on the space agency's biggest airborne laboratory. The flight of this specially equipped DC-8 was part of an atmospheric study known as SEAC4RS, which aims to study the role clouds and aerosols play in climate change.

Are all the answers in the clouds? Maybe not, but flights like this one give scientists the information they need to build models to predict climate change.
