Wedding Photographers Should Print 'Worthy Of Death' On Gay Couple's Photos, Former Navy Chaplain Says

A former U.S. Navy chaplain fired back against a New Mexico Supreme Court ruling which found that a photography studio's refusal to provide service during a 2006 same-sex commitment ceremony violated the state's Human Rights Act.

As Right Wing Watch reports, Gordon Klingenschmitt suggested that Christian photographers who shoot same-sex weddings should be allowed to print anti-gay verses of Scripture on their business cards and on the back of every photo.

The verse in question? Romans 1:32, which states, "Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."

"God's law is the highest law," Klingenschmitt declared.

Of course, Klingenschmitt is not the first to condemn the court's ruling. The Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver, who has made his fair share of statements condemning lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights advocates, felt similarly.

"I mean, that’s just as absurd as saying you gotta be forced to photograph KKK rallies," Staver said, according to Right Wing Watch.
