We're not ashamed to admit we have nearly every back issue of our beloved Domino magazines. And we dream about the day its relaunch really takes off. But we're not sure how we feel about the latest news of it forming into an e-commerce site with a quarterly print magazine.
According to Women's Wear Daily, the founders of the online shopping site Project Decor are taking the lead on the re-re-launch, which may take place as early as September. In case you don't know, Project Decor has a layout similar to Pinterest, but instead of just sharing pretty photos, you can actually buy a piece of Jonathan Adler furniture.
So, as Fashionista points out, Domino online will become Project Decor, just with the name "Domino." So, why aren't we getting our hopes up? Well, for starters decor e-commerce sites aren't exactly a big thing, since people don't necessarily buy big furniture purchases online. And as for the print magazine part, there's already something out there -- sort of.
Conde Nast didn't have a comment, but regardless, it'll be interesting to see what happens next. Here's hoping for the best. Head over to Women's Wear Daily and Fashionista for more information.
Magazines aren't the only way to get a little inspiration.
